My Teaching Philosophy

I am preparing to be a Health and Physical Education Teacher.  I want to provide a comfortable atmosphere where there is an exciting motivation to learn based on instructionally appropriate education.  A wholistic curricula based on children's needs not on a predetermined curricula  is what I desire to teach.  I want my students to understand how to become a physically educated person knowing the benefits and the importance of regular physical activity.  I do not want my discipline to be a reactive style but to have a systematic plan.  I will be firm, clear, but not harsh with my students.  I teach children because I have a passion for children to become physically active.  My main priority is to show love to children consistently.  My role model is Jesus who taught and loved all of His people unconditionally.  In the Bible, Matthew 25:40 says, "The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."  This verse is a reminder to me to treat everyone equally and with the same love that Jesus has taught us!  God has given me a gift to love children, and I want to make sure that I repay Him to the best of my ability for how much He blesses me everyday.  The Bible is the book that I go by, and my life verse is I Peter 4:9, 10, "Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.  Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms."
